Sliding Bypass Shutters

Custom sliding bypass shutters offer a variety of benefits. For example, they can be tilted open to reveal your backyard, or they can be tilted fully closed to bring privacy to your home. Our bypass shutters are available in a ‘Closed’ or ‘Open’ configuration. For a ‘Closed’ Bypass Shutter, the louvers must be tilted closed before sliding the panels open. In this way, we can save a few inches of space in your kitchen, living room, den, or bedroom. Alternatively, we offer an ‘Open’ Bypass Shutter. This shutter is built with a deeper frame, so you can leave the louvers tilted open while also sliding your panels open. As a result, you can have access to your door, while also keeping the view through the covered side.

Custom Options for El Dorado Hills Shutters

There are a variety of options to consider when purchasing custom shutters for your home. For example, our customer selected 3 1/2″ Louvers. This is our most popular louver size. This sliding door was tall, so the manufacturer suggested we use two divider rails for support. For the first divider rail, we positioned it near the door handle. We did this for two reasons. First, aesthetically the divider rail can be positioned near your door handle or any cross bars in windows. Secondly, this provides an easy way to control your shutters, by grabbing the divider rail and sliding the panels left or right. For the second divider rail, we positioned it as close to the top of the shutters as possible. So, our customer has many options for light and privacy.
