Bypass Shutter Elegance in Regency Park
Can-Do Window Coverings recently installed an elegant Eclipse Bypass Shutter in Regency Park. Regency Park is a beautiful neighborhood in West Sacramento. It offers a variety of living options, including townhouses. In addition, there is a beautiful park nearby. Summers here bring the heat, so we suggest window treatments with UV protection and insulating features. For this project, we matched existing window coverings throughout our customer’s home. We had installed Eclipse Shutters for them previously, and our customer was interested in getting a window treatment for their sliding door to match.
Sliding Door Shutter
This sliding door shutter is located in our customer’s living room, leading to their back porch. So, traffic through and around this door will be common. With this in mind, our customer selected a ‘Closed Bypass’ system. With our ‘Closed Bypass’, the benefit is that the shutter frame has a reduced profile, so it does not intrude into your room. However, before sliding the shutter open, the louvers must be tilted closed.
Bypass Shutter Details
Our customer’s existing shutters had a 3 ½” Louver, in Cotton, with a Tilt Bar. They wanted the new shutters to match, so we kept these options the same for the bypass shutter.
Like most sliding doors applications, this shutter required four panels. Typically, sliding door panels will require a divider rail because of their height. We selected the ‘Traditional’ divider rail to match the other shutters in the room. Divider rails for Eclipse Shutters are available in two styles. The ‘Traditional’ divider offers a sleek look, while our ‘Deluxe’ offers a place to grip the divider rail.
The Finishing Touches
Eclipse Bypass Shutters come with a valance to cover the metal track. This is mounted to the top frame piece using installation clips, so it is easy to remove for future adjustments or repairs. We selected the Standard Valance for this bypass shutter. The Standard Valance offers a simpler look. In this case, it paired well with our customer’s existing baseboards
Bypass Shutters are a beautiful window treatment solution for sliding doors. They operate by sliding across your door. In addition, you can tilt the louvers open and closed for privacy and light control.
