Dual Shades are a beautiful addition to your Auburn home. For this window covering project, our customer chose banded shades, or dual shades, for their bathroom remodel. Because their home features modern decor, our customer chose a bold, black fabric color. For the controls, they chose a continuous cord loop to raise and lower the shade. These shades have a decorative valance, covered with the same fabric as the shade.
Dual Shades, Zebra Shades, Banded Shades
Dual Shades are sometimes called Zebra Shades because of their striped appearance. They are also known as Banded Shades for this reason. Alternating bands of opaque and transparent fabric make up your shade. So, when you operate your zebra shade, the bands of alternating fabric pass each other for a variety of options. In this way, you can determine how much of your view to reveal. As you can see, when the shade is fully raised, it reveals almost the entire window.
For most window covering projects in bathrooms, you will want to select a fabric that offers a high level of privacy. In this situation, our customer was more concerned with letting in natural light. Also, they wanted to maintain their beautiful view of the many trees in Auburn.
