Can-Do Window Coverings recently installed these beautiful new shutters in a Sutter Creek home! Sutter Creek gets cold in the winter, but you can shut the cold out with custom shutters or shades. New Shutters in Existing Window Trim

For this window treatment project, we installed new shutters in windows that had existing trim. This home in Sutter Creek has a variety of moldings that are a feature of its decor. So, we did not want to detract from the existing molding by adding more to the mix. For example, the windows have a charming, bold, flat molding that frames them nicely. So, we used an ‘L’ shutter frame. With an ‘L’ frame, the frame will help to provide a squared mounting surface. In addition, it has a low profile that can easily blend into the existing trim. After installing the ‘L’ frames, we used caulk to seal around the frames. In this way, we fill in the gaps between the window box and frame.
